Remember, when you were a young girl full of self-confidence and self-esteem was through the roof. You felt like you could do anything and had not a care in the world. Yep, I remember too. But something happened.
You started paying attention to the world around you. Believing the negative words that were spoken to you. The biggest conspiracy of them all is society began shaping the images of what you believe you should look and be like.
Eventually, you lost yourself in a bottomless pit of low self-esteem, low self-confidence, confusion of who you were, and at times, you experienced self-hate. You did not become this way overnight, but with self-improvement, you can begin to emerge from the pit of despair.
10 Self-Improvement Tips to Be a Confident Woman
1.) Positive Self Affirmation
What are the positive self-affirmations? Positive affirmations are words, sentences, or phrases you tell yourself regularly that can change the way you think or feel about yourself.
Positive affirmations can be used anytime and anywhere, but every morning or night, get into the routine of looking at yourself in the mirror and repeating positive affirmations to yourself and mean it.
Examples = I am smart. I am beautiful. I am powerful. I am prosperous. I am worthy of it.
2.) Exercise
It has been scientifically proven exercise lasting 20 to 30 minutes can cause endorphin release.
This is a hormone that is responsible for making you feel happy.
You may not feel like exercising, but push yourself a bit, and you will feel great afterward.
3.) Journaling
For various reasons, it can be tough to vent feelings. Journaling can be an outlet for the pent-up feelings you believe you can not talk about. Not releasing these feelings can lead to anger, depression, anxiety, etc.

6.) Learn Something New
You don’t grow if you don’t learn. And the only way to learn is if you expose yourself to new things. There are numerous opportunities for us to learn. A simple online search will help you find things you may be interested in and how to get involved.
7.) Treat Yourself
Let yourself know you are worthy by treating yourself to something special on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. It does not have to be expensive, just something that will make you feel special. My favorite is doing a DIY facial every week.
8.) Eat Healthier
We continuously feed ourselves junk because it is convenient and in many instances, easy on our wallet. But what we put in our bodies will eventually be what our bodies give us in return.
After many unhealthy meals, your body will become tired, brain fogged, experience weight gain, prematurely age, as well as other unwanted effects. Introduce healthier eating by at least replacing an unhealthy meal with a healthy meal full of vegetables, a healthy version of carbs, and lean meats.
A meal replacement shakes made of fruit and vegetable is also a great way to go if you don’t have time to make a full meal. Even making small changes will produce a considerable impact.
9.) Sleep
Sleep is crucial as it allows your body to heal itself. Your body will show you signs that you are not getting enough sleep. According to Web MD signs, you are not getting enough sleep include weight gain, tired-looking eyes, poor focus or memory, crave food that is not good for you, survive the day on caffeine, irritable.
The amount of sleep needed varies among individuals, but it is recommended that you get on average, eight hours a sleep per night.
10.) Make a List of Your Accomplishments
Stop beating yourself up and putting yourself down. You accomplish great things no matter how big and small daily, so give yourself credit. Every day make a list of 1-5 things you have accomplished. As time goes on, you will become a bit easier on yourself.
